Not bad, but not great either.
Dogzin lol. What a name. The name of your friend, I can appreciate, but the name of an evil sorceror... That's just a little bit bizarre. "Fear my wrath! I am the mighty Dogzin!" Nah, it just doesn't meld.
The graphics were surprisingly intense, and I found the game to be, well, unfortunately short. It took a lot to train up to beat the "King Blob", and then after that, very little was involved. The level system was cut short by an abrupt end, and I felt as if I had wasted a great deal of time by training for so long and buying that cool staff.
Spells seemed to be a ridiculous idea. Not even the heal was worth it. One attack was worth a potion, to put it bluntly, and that didn't even out. If you want people to invest in wizardry, start off with 300 mana or so, and have the potions heal 50. All the same, the levelling was slow and, as I said, didn't really amount to anything in the end. A lot of time was spent maundering (walking sluggishly) about, fighting and healing and such.
And the healer did NOT recover mana, either. Replenishing rates were too slow, as well, to be of much/any use. Design of characters was, well, execrable, to be flattering.
Music was decent, not good. And the King Blob's music overlapped with the ordinary battle music. I found it easier not to listen to anything at all, and just set the quality to low to play smoothly.
Overall though, it was a very cool concept, though I doubt the credibility of a wizard having a son, and 2000 years down the track, this son (aged around 30) goes out on his own adventure. Nevertheless, it remained reasonably entertaining, and so earns you an eight. Not too shabby.
