Thoroughly enjoyable.

The number of hours I've spent playing this arcade classic... Thank you so much.

Fantastic!

A most excellent game! A bit challenging at first, but when I discovered quests earned money, things became easy! Conquering cities was hard at first, but once you earned enough cash to buy the best available soldiers, any foe became a pushover. With a team of five Black Samurai and five Ghost Bowmen, I could wipe out armies without having to do a thing. My wealth stockpiled to a little over 400k, and I reached level 47 by occasionally running around to attack a stray crossbowman. I think a difficulty slider would be appropriate, making the enemies stronger or weaker depending on how challenged you want to be. Given that I had an army (several dozen) of Black Samurai, stronger enemies to pit them against would have been greatly appreciated.

The weapons were absolutely fantastic. Each civilisation (for want of a better term) with their own historic shields, weapons and armor. Fantastic I tell you! With possibly hundreds of varieties, not to mention the unique items (shaded blue), there was really no limit to the pwnage.

The character selection was very much appreciated. My personal favourite has always been the ninja, and I was overjoyed to see I could raise a ninja army. What I admire most though is the effort you put into coinciding the stats of a hero with the type of weapons and armor s/he used. Ninjas don't need strength- give them dexterity! Brilliant.

The battle system was as good as it could be in a flash game. A little simplistic, but the obstacles around the field that bowmen had to navigate around was another stroke of brilliance. With such a wide variety of units, I'm sure it would have been prudent to set up certain formations etc. But alas, the sword of the Black Samurai is far too quick.

I think the only thing this game lacked was music. Music would have added a lot, if it was *just* right. It's hard to find perfect music, but look into it if you can.

Another really appreciated point was the three save slots! I played this game for hours over two days, so good on you.

I can't really think of anything else to say. A few bugs (namely, being unable to walk/sail around a coast to reach a city) and spelling errors that brought the overall quality of the game down a notch, but nevertheless, a solid ten from me. Excellent work!

Interesting game.

Difficult, too. Wasn't really sure how to get better at it, and struggled at Normal for a while. Didn't seem to be a huge deal of strategy, just hope your troops are more numerous than theirs and time your special attacks correctly. Room for improvement, but overall pretty spiffy actually. Bit of a challenge, good to see, but in need of music.

Hey not bad!

I remember this game from five years ago when it first came out. It was on the front page for ages, and I never bothered to find out what was so good about it.

Admittedly, I'm not that into cars, and in those five years, games have skyrocketed in terms of quality, but nonetheless this is a vintage piece. Stylised and traditional, it's pretty cool, but mayhaps not entirely to my taste. Still, a seven!

Excellent game!

I'm Xin, currently 15th with a score of ~380000 ^^

I have to say, the game itself it very enjoyable. There aren't that many flaws, but the major one is the blurriness! When you play psychotic or even very hard your eyes start to blur after a little while from trying to keep up with the words.Kinda dangerous to play too long, kinda stupid too, but I wanted to see how hard it got. The brings me to my next point- the second major flaw. It's really easy to play if you're a decent touch-typist. There's no real challenge after a while, once you reach the seven letter words. I didn't get shot once throughout, and eventually let myself die after half an hour.

It's extremely fun, and addictive, but it's kind of pointless once you're nailing all your enemies as soon as they appear. Nevertheless, an enjoyable game, but argh- my eyes!

PS: Some of those words were absolutely unheard of. Where did you get them??

Interesting game.

Amusing and quirky cutscenes. I laughed a few times throughout.

I didn't actually play for very long but from what I did play, I can tell you that the rage moves were confusing. A move list would have been helpful, but overall the rage system seems to work pretty well. If it didn't depreciate over time, the game probably would have had a lot more in terms of doing awesome moves/acrobatics for the hell of it. Overall though, the attacking system is a little weak, and very slow. There's not really a lot you can do unless you're enraged.

Great storyline, that added a fair bit in terms of completeness.

Music was a little slow paced. Voice however was incredible- "Not enough rage" and other such lines were perfect, and frankly, awesome.

Overall, the game has potential. A little bothersome with the huge stages to explore to find your path, enemies scattered here and there. I guess the stages lack direction, but all in all, not too shabby. Nice work.

Sweet game.

Takes a great deal of concentration, but not overly difficult. The great part is that you're given free reign- there's no "right answer". It was pretty cool how you could make patterns and such, and overall I have to say it was very satisfying to finish. Hard mode isn't really worth the 60 second push, but otherwise, very nice!

Maybe a random level generator could keep things interesting?

Hmmm...

It was fun for a while, aye. I haven't actually played all the games, just the first zombie football one. After Day 12 I just got tired of it because, yes it was fun, but it wasn't really going anywhere. All it was building up to was a bigger more awesome field, but the challenge had long since died once I got my hands on the chaingun. Few let downs (like the zombies being able to come from the back and being bulletproof as long as they were "out of bounds") and the screen pulling got a tad annoying... Overall, not a bad defense game. Rather, a good parody of defense games. There are better ones to whittle away afternoons with, though.

Excellent work!

The game is enormous fun! Tremendously frustrating to starting out noobs like myself, but I learned the trick (as mentioned in the HELP which I foolishly ignored >.>) is to make a maze of turrets so the units have to walk through them getting 0wned on the way!

Plenty of potential game time, interesting levels and awesome monsters. The only thing this game lacks is a "Design your own stage" component with (and this is most important!) unlimited money. The satisfaction of having the most awesome units (upgrading to the max) blow apart your enemies is just indescribable. Most excellent game!

An excellent game!

It took a little while to get into, but when you did... Damn awesome! Very creative, too. The physics were admittedly difficult to get a hang of, but when you could chip a tank so it would spin in one direction, the game had credentials, no doubt about it.

Awesome, addictive, and absolute ownage. Superb music, very challenging (on the 22nd wave in particular. It took me three tries!), excellent in all fields. I wish I had longer to play! Two hours just isn't enough.
