Wow! Definitely worth playing twice.
This game was both original, and genius! Incredibly entertaining, not too hard, but not too easy either. There's no tactic that I'm aware of for beating the demon of Minas Morgul and the darkk Spellcaster. Just send out your strongest troops ASAP and hope to head them off- otherwise I just got lucky. A tiny bit of strategy in battle plans would have been a cool add on.
Nevertheless, the graphics were, forgive me, cute to say the least. Adorable characters, but somehow cool in their own sense. You did nice work with the shading. Animation was smooth, filesize low, overall, fantastic work! The story was also a great idea- not just mindless slaughtering, but an actual seige! Excellent! The music was also the sort that you never get sick of, no matter how many hours you listen to it.
One potential flaw though. The credits took almost an absurdly large amount of time. I entertained myself by pretending I was taking each bad guy on as the hero. Sad, I know, but strangely amusing. Anyhoo, perhaps if you exchanged them for character bios that you can choose to read and watch, rather than just have them stroll across the screen. If you don't want to bother changing that, making them stop halfway to attack would also be neat. My attention was too divided to see Gandalf's attack the first time I played, it would be a good idea to offer the opportunity.
To cut it short, this is an excellent game which is very entertaining to say the least. You're compelled to play all of it, and more than once, too. Worthy of my favourites list, for sure.

PS: Peon- you have an amazing vocabulary.
PPS: The hero's sword looked like a small matsamune/katana. Was it either?
