Aaaaahahaha!

Gets me every time.

Oh my God the brutality!

It's one of the things I love most about C&H.

~VelvetDarkRocks~

You know, that was surprisingly good.

It had all the class of the eighties with just a hint of the awesome in Watchmen. I loved all the references to the plot made child-friendly.

Wow, impressive cast.

Enjoyable in only the ways Cyanide and Happiness can be.

Ohhh the memories.

One of the scariest moments in the N64 era right there.

Surprisingly deep for a C&H!

Not your usual style of short but a welcome change! Quite a story! Might have made for a Forrest Gump type movie...

As always, a delight.

True to form and style with excellent voice acting and music. Another C&H classic, though the kick isn't quite as big the second time round.

Ohhh dear.

Cyanide and Happiness will always have a special place in my heart. I can't fault it for having bad graphics or a lack of depth because that's the style and nature of C&H. All in all, quite a perfect short. Really enjoyable and true to form. I hope more follow!

Nice, man.

I think a little overrated considering the brevity and simplicity, but most definitely an endearing film. Beautiful animation, wonderful choice of music, sweet story and characters. And funny in a heartwarming, not desultory way. Job well done!

One of the most moving flash movies of 2009.

What an incredible story. Tragic and poignant and just a little bit magical. And the characters are just so believable! It's incredible how deep they are and how well they are portrayed, even within a few minutes of the movie. The inventor, alone and struggling with his own notions of love and affection is cold, manipulative, but not so much cruel as lonely and spited. And Lucy, the little girl who's lost everything and struggles to find herself in a new world of stone walls and a new father who both caresses and strikes her. Her trepidation for yet a further change is so real, so understandable. Your skill humbles me.

Magnificent work with the voice acting. All the actors you used were perfect and their delivery was flawless, replete with emotion. I believed to the heart of me that these characters were real, and I'm sure their actors did too. Particular mention must go to Kailey Kaneshiro (Lucy). Her voice held all the innocence, fear, wonderment and love of a little girl who has felt great pain. I was deeply moved.

Although the graphics and animation itself was not brilliant, the level of care and detail put into the piece was very evident. Lighting and colour themes were very well used to create a certain atmosphere- sullen, sombre and morose. Little things like Lucy's red scarf (the warmest piece of clothing she has) really add a welcome contrast and make her seem brighter, different from her surroundings. Furthermore, it seems all the things that give her hope are red: her new gloves, Ruby, the star in the sky. It reminds me a little of Schindler's List, and though more subtle, it was equally well done.

Music was also exceptionally well done. What a beautiful score! I loved most of all the appropriateness of themes and how symbollic the music was in relation to the storyline, like the song the inventor hums used to express fondness and happiness coming in a certain times of the movie.

You are extremely gifted at storytelling. The flashbacks were used brilliantly to help slowly unroll the story, bit by bit, moment by moment. The originality was at times breathtaking, the suspense heartstopping.

As an aside, I really think you should have kept the deleted animation with the two red creatures and one beige one. For such a serious film it would have provided a welcome momentary relief if only so the viewer could breathe again fully.

All in all, a most moving and beautiful film. Although not many people would be willing to watch it, it is well worth the time and equals any tragic and beautiful tale. Thank you so much for making it and sharing it with the world. I hope Snow Snow Productions continues to gain popularity among the community. Snow Snow For Lucy is well worth the attention.

Nice review. You're right, not everyone would appreciate this project. So it's a nice treat to have someone like you enjoy this project.
